“Your neighborhood brewhouse”
Momentum was the first brewery we tried in Southwest Florida. It is tucked in an industrial looking building. Well located on a main road and just blocks from Highway 41, this place is an easy stopover after a long day of hard relaxation at the beach!
Just as the slogan claims, Momentum is a traditional neighborhood brewery. The inside has long group tables and I have seen families and groups playing various board games provided by the brewery. A side area is like an outside room that has a roll up door – this area has games like cornhole and a giant Jenga.
What would a brewery be without food trucks? Dull! Momentum has a rotating schedule of food trucks:
- Thursdays – Two Guys Pizza and Fries
- Fridays – Rollin Raw Bar
- Saturdays – Up North Doggs
- Sundays – Simply Southern BBQ
Check their schedule to see the current rotation and hours.
The brewers experiment with their brews but generally offer about ten beers at any time. Their eight core beers offer a basic of each type: a pale, a stout, a brown, an American wheat, a saison, a barley wine, an imperial red, and a white IPA. The rotating taps are seasonal. Momentum beer can also be found at local restaurants.
Momentum has a unique flight presentation – in what is essentially a six cupcake pan. You can sample five beers with an accompanying cup of popcorn. Cute!
The brewery is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Wednesdays between 5 and 7pm the Happy Hour special is $1 off pints.
This brewery has really established itself in this community. The neighborhood feel makes it a fun place to hang out. They host special events – like yoga in the brewery.
My favorite beer: White Noise.
Worth a stop every trip!
