Where to stay in Hong Kong?

You’ve got to choose between staying in the Kowloon Peninsula or Hong Kong proper. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. The island side of Hong Kong is historic and allows easy access to many of the attractions. The Kowloon Peninsula offers newer hotels and facilities.

Hong Kong Island

Luxury: The St. Regis: If you’re looking for luxury, then you can’t go wrong with a stay at the St. Regis! This luxurious facility is located in the middle of all the action.

Mid-Range: JW Hong Kong: From its amazing views and easy access to the MRT, JW is the perfect base for exploring Hong Kong Island.

Budget: Renaissance Harbour View: Due to its location next to Victoria Harbour, guests staying at the Renaissance are never too far away from public transportation and the city’s highlights.

Kowloon

Luxury: Ritz-Carlton: Ritz-Carlton hotels have a reputation for providing 5-star luxury and Hong Kong’s is no exception. It is the highest hotel in the world and home to the Sky 100 Observation Deck and Ozone, the highest bar. Guests enjoy amazing views!

Mid-Range: W Hotel: This was my top pick. Apart from the amazing service and absolutely magnificent breakfast buffet, the hotel is attached to a mall providing access to the mass transit railway that takes you to the Hong Kong International Airport. And the infinity pool is the perfect way to relax after exploring the city!
