You may have clicked on this wondering, what the heck? Is Annick reviewing socks now? Well, if you have followed me for a while, you know that I suffer from foot issues, having undergone several surgeries and procedures, and socks are one of my pain points while traveling. For reference, my feet are wide, flat, and big (9.5-10, depending on the shoe).

I was delighted when Sheec Socks reached out to me to review their socks. So, while the socks were sent to me for free, all opinions expressed in this review are purely my own.

I have problems with socks staying on, or showing, or simply not fitting. My large, wide, flat feet often suffer from socks pinching at the worst spots. Even if I find a sock that I like, often by the time I have washed them, they shrink or lose their shape, and the gummy part at the back of the heel is never as sticky again. I’m pleased to report that I didn’t have most of these issues with my Sheec socks.

No-show socks that are comfy and stay put are my favorite, so I’m always looking for good socks. I’m certainly going to invest in more Sheec socks!

Merino Wool

I’ve been a Merino wool convert lately, so I loved the Merino wool socks. These lightweight winter socks have a blister tab in the back to protect your ankle from that annoying rub you get with some shoes. Like most Merino wool clothing, they did not stink after being worn and washed easily. They also dried faster than my traditional wool socks. The men’s may have fit me better as these pinched slightly, but these are definitely keepers!

Fleece

The fleece socks confused me at first. From their website, these socks should work with whatever shoe or boot you like. While they fit fine that way, the sock cut felt more like a slipper to me. I mostly used these as slippers in hotel rooms when I traveled. I enjoyed that they came in a large size and had a grip in the back to ensure they stayed on. These are definitely keepers, also and part of my travel gear!

PRO TIP: Looking to try Sheec socks? The Starter Pac is perfect. It includes 7 pairs, four different coverages of the Secret 3.0 tan for dress shoes, and 3 coverages of the Active X Beige color for casual shoes.

At last! Ultra-low socks that stayed on all day!

Secret 3.0

These are Sheec’s answer to no-show options for dress shoes. The Secret 3.0 comes in four rises — ultra-low, low, mid, and high. The ultra-low and low worked best with my flats, which is the style of shoe that I travel with all the time. The mid was okay for shoes with a higher rise. But the high rise was too high for my liking.

I need to buy a ton of these!

Active X

These are the socks you want to wear with your everyday shoes. The low cut in the modal fabric were perfect – perfectly cut to wear with sneakers and super soft. They did not make my feet sweat, which was a bonus!

Sockshion

You know how when you wear heels, you get all this pressure at the ball of the foot? These socks are meant to address that. They were strange to put on as they have an elastic loop that goes around your big toe and your pinkie toe. I’m not much of a high-heel wearer, but these would certainly help. They’re a keeper once you get used to the feeling of the elastic loops.

I had to find the sweet spot for them to stay on.

Half-Socks

These were interesting as they’re designed to be worn with mules. I’d never tried anything like this before. The dressy version had a learning curve as to how to make them stay on my foot. They did pinch my foot. The fabric and fit of the casual half socks were much better.

No, I hadn’t realized that they were labeled L and R.

ComFits

If you’re looking for compression socks (performance socks), Sheec calls them ComFits. I wore these during several workouts. They stayed on my feet well, which is sometimes a problem for me on low cuts. They washed well, too. These were more traditional socks for workouts.

They come in three rises — low, mid, and high. They have a L and R on the socks, which I found helpful once I noticed them. But I’m just not a fan of anything that shows, so the low were my favorite because I don’t like ankle socks. Note that I received these as M instead of L; since I’m on the border, I probably would have liked the L size better.

Pros of Sheec socks

  • Order by shoe size (less guessing on what is a M or L)
  • The stay-put band on the socks actually makes the socks stay put
  • Wide variety of cuts depending on your shoe rise
  • Variety of fabrics
  • Wash and wear well
  • Fabric is antibacterial
  • Reinforced toe (what, no one else has gotten a hole on their big toe?)
  • 15 styles of no-show socks

Cons of Sheec socks

  • The fabric for the dressy socks was not to my liking (thin, like nylon)
  • The dressy socks for the mules squished my foot

My favorite Sheec socks (in order)

  • Ultra Low Cut Secret 3.0 Dressy Sock Liners
  • Fleece Socks
  • Casual Mule Socks

My least favorite Sheec socks

  • SockShions
  • Dressy Fit Ankle Socks (for booties)
  • No Show Liners for Dressy Socks (Secret 3.0 high cut) (too high cut)
