North Carolina has a proud tradition of supporting our military. Home to eleven military bases, North Carolina welcomes thousands of troops and their family members. That is how my family and I first came to North Carolina – we were stationed at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville for five years. The state is home to the following military bases:
- Pope Air Force Base in Manchester
- Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro
- Fort Bragg Army Base in Fayetteville
- Camp Mackall Army Base in Southern Pines
- Simmons Army Airfield in Cumberland
- Air Station Elizabeth City Coast Guard Base in Elizabeth City
- National Strike Force Coast Guard in Elizabeth City
- Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base in Jacksonville
- MCAS Cherry Point Marine Corps Base in Havelock
- MCAS New River Marine Corps Base in Jacksonville
- Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point
Even after their military service, many choose to make North Carolina their permanent home. And why not? Our state offers everything from glorious mountains to beautiful beaches. Our location lends itself to mild temperatures most of the year while still having four seasons. And as much as these veterans love remaining in our state, we love having them! They add value to our communities. By starting these businesses, they add to the economic strength of our cities as well.
Here are all the veteran-owned breweries in North Carolina. We hope you support and enjoy them whenever you’re in the area!
